Enumerators – 10 positions

Centre for Peace and Democracy (CPD) and PSA Consortium is looking for some well-organized and highly motivated individuals to be hired as enumerators in an upcoming survey to be undertaken in Galkayo South and South Mudug.

Summary of Task:

The assignment is an End Perception Survey to understand the changes to the conflict and peace situation for the Galkayo Joint Peace Initiative and the South Mudug Peace Initiative project. The End Perception survey will establish the end perceptions values of the Galkayo South as well as South Mudug population who have been beneficiaries of the one-year project on peacebuilding.

The enumerators will work directly with the Lead Consultant (from CPD) as the supervisors, CPD MEAL Manager will be the overall oversight coordinator for the assignment supported by the Project Manager.

Responsibilities and tasks of Enumerators

Their core task will be to assist the consultant to conduct a successful End Perception Survey.

  • Conduct Qualitative data collection using the provided data collection tools – Perception Survey Questionnaire administered through Kobo Connect.
  • Attend the perception survey data collection training.
  • Conduct KIIs & FGDs within the assigned areas.
  • Document all the findings & discussions in the provided data collection tools / Note book.
  • Participate in team review meetings at the beginning/end of each day’s assignment
  • Present the collected data / info to the supervisor at the end of each day.
  • Report to the supervisor before and after day’s work for further direction.
  • Ensure submission of all the completed KII & FGD notes for the day to the supervisor.

Expected Outputs

Comprehensive and complete KII & FGD Notes from the field on daily basis, in line with the KII & FGD checklist/ guides.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Must have at least a diploma for post-secondary education. Degree Holders will have an added advantage.
  • Must demonstrate prior experience in conducting KIIs & FGDs, baseline surveys, midterm surveys or end line survey.
  • Good communication skills and experience in participatory methodology.
  • Innovative, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on strict deadlines.
  • Willing to accomplish each day’s work with the supervisor by the end of each working day.

Work plan

The work plan will be developed by the consultant and implemented within 8 days by enumerators.

Duration of service

10 enumerators will be engaged for 8 days that includes training.
