Within the month of June, we managed to facilitate individual IYCF counseling, which reached 323 pregnant/lactating mothers.
We also, organized 10 group counseling session for mothers in MBAs, the session reached 116 PLW’s.
It also included, 11 promotion events, the sessions reached 226 PLW’s.
In addition, we distributed multi-micronutrient tables for 391 pregnant women and 477 lactating mothers to support them in breastfeeding.
More so, we distributed Multi-micronutrient powders sachets to children 6-24 months, 752 children in all sites benefitted for it.
In addition, we organized MUAC screening, where 273 children and mothers were attended to, in some cases referrals were made to other centers including OTP, MCH and SFP.
We also distributed baby gifts hampers, clothes and hygiene promotion kits that benefitted 127 mothers and lactating mothers and continued with home visits and also joined mothers at the MBAs and MCH.
More so, through social media, we published IYCF messages, Videos to the Facebook & Youtube with the purpose of reaching many people.
Lastly, we organize twelve (12) awareness events in the targeted sites to educate the community members on the benefits of breastfeeding, the session included role-models and mentors who are shining examples to the breastfeeding mothers, they shared their success stories in line with breast-feeding and how they overcame various challenges, the awareness events reached 150 PLW’s.
